Andrew Moreschi: Trumpet



Andrew was born and raised in Long Island, NY. He began learning trumpet in the third grade, and started taking private lessons soon thereafter. He received dual Bachelor of Music degrees in Trumpet Performance and Music Education from the State University of New York at Fredonia and a Masters of Music in Trumpet Performance from New England Conservatory. Additionally, Andrew also studied for one year at the Liszt School of Music in Weimar, Germany.

In addition to playing with RBQ, Andrew serves as Principal Trumpet of the Atlantic Symphony Orchestra and Second Trumpet in the New Bedford and New England Symphony Orchestras. He has also appeared with other orchestras, including New World Symphony, Vermont Symphony, Boston Philharmonic, Symphony New Hampshire, Cape Symphony, Plymouth Philharmonic, and Orchestra of Indian Hill. He performs for musical theater productions and sound recording projects as well, and is a member of Boston Party Machine, which plays social functions throughout New England.

Andrew currently serves on the faculty of the University of Massachusetts Boston and Stonehill College, and teaches trumpet at the South Shore Conservatory in Hingham, Massachusetts.
